Evangelical * Sacramental * Spirit-Filled

Singles have much to look forward to, but often are faced with certain challenges as they attempt to live a Christian life in a world which is losing its values.  Our aim is to encourage them and to let them know there is strength and hope in that One Divine Single, Jesus Christ ! We, at St. Luke are blessed with several college students, from nearby colleges and universities. They bring great excitement and energy to our worship, and have a hunger for knowledge.  We pray for great intellect, and learning for them, and for the nurturing of our Lord in their lives. Oh what a need there is today to teach truth to our youth, concerning God and His love for them!  They are His precious jewels, and the future of the Church.  Help us reach out and love them, and convince them of the Father's love.

God has called us to reach out to our neighbors.  Who are our neighbors?

The question is not "who is my neighbor"; instead it should be, "what kind of neighbor am I?"

Our local area population has increased with a presence of many new Spanish neighbors.  We are seeking for ways to reach out to them, across the language barrier, to invite them to come and find peace, love and joy in Jesus Christ here with us, at St. Luke.  Please let us know if you can help bridge the gaps that exist.    Acts 10:34-35 says, Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.  But in every nation whoever fears him and works righteousness is accepted by Him."  Help us reach out to all nationalities as we begin to see all people as God sees them.
We need married people who are strong in their relationships to help others stay married, who may be on "shaky ground".  Help us bring forth the message of persistence and faithfulness.  Show by example the blessing of Holy Matrimony.  Jesus loves the little children; they are precious in His sight.  At St. Luke, we love them too, and we are concerned for their safety and that they get rooted and grounded in faith at an early age. Help us reach out to them and their parents !  Bring those babies to church.  Get them introduced to the family of God, so that as they grow up, they will know the importance and the value of the family relationship at home.
